Descriptions

 

 Descriptions can be added by turning on the Description column and pressing F3 or choosing one or more items, right-clicking and choosing Describe. In case you choose several files, the same description will be applied to all of them.

 

  Descriptions are saved if you use Save Tree. They are also saved automatically on a hidden Descript.ion file on the file's folder, if possible (read-only media such as CD-ROMs and DVDs will not allow it).

 

  Descript.ion is a standard used by many applications to save file and folder descriptions. It creates a hidden file in the folder containing the file or folder, with the name of the item and description. Descriptions will be saved and thus appear on the next time you look at the folder, either with STG FolderPrint Plus or other software that supports the standard.
